Privacy notice

Addresses you enter. Your pickup and dropoff are sent to our server so we can look up the driving route and calculate fares. We keep a record of the search so we can monitor accuracy and reliability.

Rides you open. When you tap through to a provider, we record which provider you chose and the estimate we showed, so we can tell whether our estimates are useful.

Product analytics. If you allow it, we use PostHog to understand which parts of the app get used. You can decline, and nothing is sent.

We do not ask for your name, phone number or payment details, and we have no way to see your trips inside a provider's app.

Address autocomplete and route calculation are performed through Mapbox. The text you type into the address fields and the coordinates of your pickup and dropoff are shared with Mapbox for that purpose. Our access keys stay on our server; your browser never talks to Mapbox directly.

If your browser offers to share your location, we use it only to make nearby addresses rank higher in the suggestion list. Declining the prompt does not stop you from using Farez.

The first time you visit, Farez asks whether you're happy with product analytics. Nothing is loaded or sent before you answer, and declining is respected on every later visit. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and answer the prompt again.

If you arrive from a referral link, we store the referral code so we can credit whoever shared it. It is not tied to your identity.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We share only what is needed with the services that run Farez: Mapbox for addresses and routes, our hosting and database provider for storing searches, and PostHog for analytics where you have allowed it.

Search and tap-through records are kept while they are useful for improving fare accuracy, and are not linked to a personal account today. If you would like a record removed or have a question about this notice, contact us through the address listed on our site.
